PAKISTAN

At least 19 civilian are dead after armed militants attacked the   campus of Bacha Khan University in Charsadda in the northwest region of Pakistan; this comes a year after 134 students were massacred at another school in the area. Armed militants, reportedly targeted the attack on the day celebrating the University’s 28th anniversary, to ensure maximum casualties according to reports with 4 of the suspected attackers also killed. You’ll recall also attacked Burkina Faso over the weekend. A senior Pakistani Taliban commander claimed responsibility for the assault in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

TRUMP-PALIN

As if the 2016 GOP Presidential race couldn’t get more over top, enter Sarah Palin and her endorsement of Donald Trump last night right before Iowa caucuses, which might put a dent in Ted Cruz’ plan seeing as he was just lambasted by the Republican Governor of the state. In her speech Palin labeled Trump an anti-establishment candidate who would “kick ISIS’ ass,” Elsewhere in Palin news, her son Track was arrested for on suspicion of assaulting a woman and carrying a gun while intoxicated, true family values there. Will this help the Donald’s bid to corral more conservative Iowa voters? Only time will tell.
