Last year, you couldn’t browse through a celeb packed event photo or even a Chicago event without spotting a Self Portrait designed outfit. I even had a moment with Sophia Bush discussing the amazing label at the RH gallery opening party now to find out founder Han Chong has branched out into bridal, drawing inspiration from rule breaking fashion icons like Bianca Jagger, Pattie Boyd!!! “I felt there was a gap in the market for cool, understated gowns that still had the ability to feel feminine and timeless, I wanted to take the stress out of bridal-gown shopping and create a range where there is no need to visit specialist bridal boutiques.”

The six piece collection will be priced between$1,000-$1,500 (£650 and £1,000) and available online at Net-A-Porter and BergdofGoodman stateside.

“The versatility of our pieces has definitely been a key factor to our success. A mixture of intricate detailing combined with comfort makes our dresses perfect for wearing day or night, which I believe is a perfect formula for occasion dressing.”

“Women spend so much money on a dress they’ll wear once, and I [wanted to create] dresses they can wear again, I really thought about what a Self-Portrait girl would want for her wedding. I used guipure lace, silk, and organza—which are not untraditional to wedding dresses, but I used them in ways that felt personal to me.”
