FRANCE

As the investigation into this past weekend’s terror attacks in Paris continues, many revelations have been emerging in Paris and other areas that may have had ISIS stronghold, news from Russia and how some US Governors are reacting to the migrant issue. First, the strong ties to Belgium which is where one of the accomplices fled and now Hamza Attou and Mohammed Amri have been arrested for picking him up.  France has intensified its targets in Syria and also launched 128 raids overnight and they became the first European Union country to request the 28-nation political bloc’s mutual-defense clause be invoked asking for help from other EU member nations “either by taking part in France’s operations in Syria or Iraq, or by easing the load or providing support for France in other operations.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin, after confirmation from the Kremlin that terrorists had placed a bomb on a Russian passenger jet which broke up over Egypt last month killing 224 people, has vowed revenge intensifying airstrikes. Alexander Bortnikov, the head of Russia’s FSB security service, on Monday said that traces of foreign-made explosive, a homemade bomb containing up to 1 kilogram of TNT detonated during the flight, had been found on fragments of the downed plane and on passengers’ personal belongings. FSB security service later told Russian news agencies there was a $50 million reward for help detaining the bombers. Many US Governors,mostly Republicans including Illinois Bruce Rauner have said they do not want the refugees in their state following the attacks. 


KRIS BRYANT

Yesterday it was announced that Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was named the Unanimous 2015 MLB Rookie of the Year, receiving all 30 first-place votes, for a total of 150 points from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America!! His 2015 stats: he batted .275 with 26 home runs and 99 RBIs to go with a .369 on-base percentage. [ESPN]

Charlie Sheen in an interview with Matt Lauer has revealed he IS HIV positive confirming the blind item that surface about two weeks ago. Speaking with Today show anchor Matt Lauer, Sheen said “I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive. And, I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks, of sub-truths, and very harmful stories that are about threatening the health of so many others, which couldn’t be farther from the truth.” Though reports claims he’s had it for about 10 years, Sheen said he was diagnosed “roughly four years ago,” which emoji to use here?

Phoebe English, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Peter Pilotto, JW Anderson, Agi & Sam, Bobby Abley, Christopher Raeburn, Claire Barrow and Nasir Mazhar are the 10 British designers that have each created sweatshirt and T-shirt inspired by the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens and it will be sold exclusively at Selfridges starting November 19. Over in the States, the much anticipated film has partnered with Bloomingdales for a philanthropic initiative and the outfitting of five windows at the store’s Third Avenue flagship. 10 American design houses, Cynthia Rowley, Giles Deacon, Halston, Opening Ceremony, Diane von Furstenberg, Ovadia & Sons, Parker, Rag & Bone, Timo Weiland and Todd Snyder have created looks as part of an initiative called “Force 4 Fashion” which will be shown at a aunch event in Chelsea in New York on Dec. 2 and then auctioned off through charitybuzz.com with proceeds benefitting Child Mind Institute…Bluemercury is moving into Macy’s …Urban Outfitter bought a Philadelphia pizza chain, Vetri in an effort to create an intersection of food and retail while allowing Vetri to expand its pizza concept nationally. Urban’s stock is not doing so hot at the moment.
