CHICAGO CUBS

What curse?! Last night at PNC Park the Chicago Cubs took on the Pittsburg Pirates and won 4-0 with an on fire pitcher Jake Arrieta helping them advance to the National League Division Series, it’s lit! Arrieta struck out 11. They will now face rival St. Louis Cardinals starting Friday; they haven’t advanced this far since 1945. [CHICAGO TRIBUNE]

RUPERT MURDOCH

Last night the News Corp. executive chairman tweeted “Ben and Candy Carson terrific. What about a real black President who can properly address the racial divide? And much else.” This has illicited reaction from the twitterverse and also raising the question, “was he implying Obama isn’t a real black president, or that Obama isn’t a real black president?” It was only just in March, Murdoch tweeted about Carson “Wonderful character, up from Detroit ghetto, sadly seems political naif.” [WASHINGTON POSTTIME]

HOUSE SPEAKERR

DEREK FISHER

Unfortunately the former Laker now NY Knicks basketball coach is making news off the court and the regular season hasn’t started. The scoop is that he is dating his former teammate and friend Matt Barnes’ ex wife Gloria Govan from Basketball Wives. Word is Barnes drove 95 miles from Santa Barbara to LA to confront Fisher. Barnes? hmm that name sounds familiar. Yep same guy who told TMZ he was maybe dating Rihanna, which she shutdown via this infamous IG post. [NY POST]

ENTERTAINMENT

Rihanna unveiled the cover art and title of her new album “Anti” at a private party at MAMA Gallery in LA…Randy Quaid may be deported from Canada after another bizzare arrest in Montreal…Drew Barrymore has been tapped by InStyle magazine for their Virtual app launch.
