BRIBERY
U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara announced the arrests of former president of the United Nations General Assembly-John Ashe and five others, in a wide-ranging corruption scheme. Ashe who has diplomatic immunity but not for tax offenses, is being accused of taking more than $1.3 million in bribes from Chinese businessmen, including developer Ng Lap Seng who was arrested Sept. 19. Sums with lots of commas were paid off to serve Ng’s interests. [REUTERS]

If you are well plugged in to the fashion scene you may recognize him as the lead talent behind the collective that creates the Vetements, a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2015 though not a household name yet, his first collection will be for autumn/winter 2016 and debut in March.
