Russell Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks to an overtime win against the Denver Broncos led by quarterback Peyton Manning. The Seahawks led 17-3 in the fourth quarter but the Broncos charged back in the final minutes of the 4th to take the lead. In overtime powerhouse running back Marshawn Lynch, who had one of his dread yanked out during the game, plowed “his way to the goal line, diving into the end zone.” [USA TODAY]

Former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas, lost control of the SUV he was driving and hit several trees before coming to rest upside down in a drainage ditch. The 36-year-old recently got  married to the daughter of NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw in June.  [ESPN]

BUSINESS

Tesco, the grocery and general merchandise retailer headquartered in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England, has suspended four senior executives and called in outside auditors and legal counsel to investigate the £250 million ($408.8 million) overstatement in it’s first-half profit. Since the news, the company’s shares have plunged in early trading Monday. [WSJ]

WWD reports that following the recent Scotland referendum vote, the “footwear and accessories firm will in the coming days announce a decision to list about 25 percent of its shares on the London Stock Exchange, in a deal that values Choo at upward of 700 million pounds, or $1.14 billion.” [WWD]
