• Michael Kors celebrated the opening of his 16,000 sq. ft London shop at 179 Regent St, with guests including Gwyneth Paltrow, Solange, Jessica Chastain, Formula One driver Jenson Button, Arizona Muse. The brand also announced a new partnership with McLaren-Honda, to become the Formula 1 team’s official lifestyle partner.
• This type of lawsuit you don’t see too often, but former Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane is suing Kering to reinstate his non-compete clause. Most non-competes bar you from working for competitors for a duration of time and you are given financial compensation. When Kering and Slimane parted ways, he was free to work elsewhere now Slimane is requesting that this clause be applied, along with the effective payment of the financial compensation that goes with it.
