Picture one of those perfect Chicago evenings when the sun is shining but not too bright, its warm but not blazing and 30 minutes turns into 4 hours. That was the setting June 9, when the James Hotel Chicago hosted the launch party for their new public art project in partnership with Johalla Projects and artist Alexander Valentine.
Guests gathered on the patio for sips of Veuve Rosé and bites from David Burke’s Primehouse kitchen while mingling and taking pictures in front of the walls. A quick scan on Instagram’s #abmlifeiscolorful will show you the popularity of colorful walls and this should be a great addition to the mix.
The after party moved to Jimmy at The James next door, where guests continued to drink and mingle with some (potent) Hennessey sidecars. The James is located at 55 E. Ontario but the walls are located on the Rush Street side.
