CHICAGO NEWS

Former state Rep. Keith Farnham, 67, is scheduled to be sentenced today on child pornography charges at a courthouse in Elgin near his home instead of the Federal courthouse in Chicago because of his ailing health. He faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison after pleading guilty to trading online thousands of images and videos of child pornography depicting victims as young as toddlers. His lawyer Terry Ekl, states his advanced lung disease and other ailments have potentially left him with only six months to live. [CHICAGO TRIBUNE]

If you were harmed by the data breach at Target that took place during the height of the 2013 holiday shopping season and can prove it, Target may pay you. Target is proposing to pay customers up to $10,000 as part of a $10 million offer by Target to settle a class action lawsuit. The settlement,  must still be approved by a federal judge. Robert Dahl, the troubled owner of Dahl Vineyards, in Napa Valley killed his investor Emad Tawfilis and then himself in an apparent murder-suicide. [SF CHRONICLE]

WORLD NEWS

The attack at the National Bardo Museum in Tunis that killed 19 people was a result of a failed attempt to launch an assault on the national assembly as lawmakers debated an antiterrorism bill. The area is touted as one of the Arab Spring’s few success stories and the rare attack in the region raised fears that it would hinder what’s already been done in democratic overhauls the nation secured during a halting political transition. Security forces killed the two attackers, identified as Saber Elkashnawi and Yassine Laabidi; of the three gunmen at large, one has been detained.Tunisian militant group,  the Uqba ibn Nafi Battalion has since released detailed message online stopping short of claiming responsibility. [NY TIMES]

As the tennis tournament at Indian Wells continues with marque players advancing, another tennis player is making headlines for the wrong reasons. 267th ranked Wayne Odesnik has been given a 15 year ban, the longest ban in the history of the ATP Tour, after failing his second doping test(tested positive for multiple banned substances) in five years. BUSINESS

The country’s first-ever cross-brand loyalty program is set to launch sometime in May. Macy’s, Rite Aid, AT&T, ExxonMobil, Nationwide, Hulu and Direct Energy are the pilot companies in the Plenti program that will be operated by American Express’ loyalty division. The program is not connected to a credit card, there is no cost sign up and customers can use any payment method they want. One point will equal 1 cent but you have to acquire $2 worth of points before redeeming points. [USA TODAY]

Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have been been hooking up on the DL since 2013, reports US Weekly and they are still going strong. Katie is also reported to not being on speaking terms with ex-husband Tom Cruise. [US WEEKLY]

FASHION

• Interparfums will acquire perfumes and fashion company Rochas from Procter & Gamble for $108 million. [REUTERS]

Kering Eyewear CEO Roberto Vedovotto has been named a new member of Kering’s executive committee. Since coming on board in 2013 after 5 years as CEO of Safilo group, he’s tasked with leading strategic initiatives to building an in-house eyewear platform for Kering’s Luxury and Sport & Lifestyle brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent.
