• Missing Arkansas realtor Beverly Carter’s body has been found in a shallow grave. Police say Arron Lewis, 33, admitted to kidnapping Carter after 12 hours of questioning on Monday. He will be charged with capital murder. [NBC NEWS]
• The director of the Secret Service, Julia A. Pierson, who took her position in March 2013, will be questioned by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee today over security lapses. The lapse going back to 2011 and with the most recent discovery that knife wielding Omar Gonzalez got so far within the White House(Gonzalez pushed past a guard at the front door and made it about 100 feet inside, past stairs leading to the Obama family quarters, before he was tackled) will be up for discussion. • A long-delayed security agreement that will allow American troops to stay in Afghanistan after the end of the year, has been signed by the US & Afghanistan, filling a campaign promise by new President Ashraf Ghani. “National security adviser Hanif Atmar and U.S. Ambassador James Cunningham signed the bilateral security agreement. Under the agreement, 12,000 foreign military personnel are expected to stay after 2014, when the combat mission of Afghanistan’s U.S.-led NATO force ends.” [REUTERS]

• 4 games into the season, all resulting in losses, the Oakland Raiders football team fired coach Dennis Allen Monday night, his record was 4-28. An interim coach is yet to be named [ESPN]
BUSINESS
• When the activist investor barks, you listen. Coming from a demand from Carl Icahn, ebay has decided to spin off its paypal unit into a separate publicly traded company. New York Times reports The spinoff is expected to be completed in the second half of 2015. John Donahoe, eBay’s current chief executive, will step down from that role once the separation is complete, and would serve on the board of at least one of the two companies. Daniel Schulman, formerly senior exec at American Express, will become PayPal’s president then CEO in 2015; John Donahoe, eBay’s current chief executive will step down from the Paypal role. [NYTIMES]

• When you’ve been single for so long and you finally get married, the wedding becomes a big deal. George Clooney’s wedding to lauded lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice over the weekend and the first pictures are out. • Apple watch made its debut at uber cool store Colette last night in Paris. The highly anticipated wearable won’t be available until next year but it proved perfect timing as host of top fashion editors and influencers were already in Paris for #PFW. Marc Newson was tapped to design it. [WWD]
