• Rent the Runway is coming to Chicago. The brick and mortar location will open April 30 at 710 North Wabash Avenue (The Old Sarca location) and allow women to rent designer apparel and accessories, pick up their online order in person for free or swap out items they are not 100 percent satisfied with. • A group affiliated with a church out of Fort Pierce, Florida, returning from a trip to Fort Meyers in a large conversion van crashed into a ditch in Glades County, Florida, killing eight adults and 10 other people are injured. The name of the church, or the names of the victims are to be released pending notification of next of kin. [CNN]
WORLD NEWS
• Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has been found guilty on fraud charges and breach of public trust, in retrial of the corruption case that forced him to step down as the country’s leader six years ago. He accepted cash from U.S. businessman Morris Talansky when he was Israeli trade minister and mayor of Jerusalem; The conviction could result in jail time for Mr. Olmert. [WSJ]
• Citizens of Africa’s largest democracy, Nigeria, anxiously wait results of this past weekend’s presidential elections between current President Goodluck Jonathan against former military ruler Muhammadu Buhari. • Schaumburg based Catamaran Corporation will be acquired by UnitedHealth Group Inc.’s OptumRx for about $12.8 billion, paying $61.50/share in cash. OptumRx and Catamaran offer specialty pharmacy services,an industry with about $100 billion in annual revenue that may quadruple by 2020; Mark Thierer will become CEO of OptumRx, and Timothy Wicks, the current CEO, will become president.
