After last week’s warm weather tease followed by the surprise snow and subsequent drop in temperature, we can hardly contain our excitement for spring to get here! We’ll get to shed our bulky coats for light jackets, cropped pants with open toe sandals and so much more. To get us in the fashionable spirit and in the know for spring, we asked some of our favorite fashion people in Chicago what item(s) they can’t wait to add to their closet this season. Jena Gambaccini of Chicity Fashion, Aramide Esubi of TheSassyPeach, Jessica Moazami Stylist and writer of Addictions of A Fashion Junkie, Brielle Buchberg & Lindsay Segal of Luxury Garage Sale, Stylist Suzanne Kopulous of Garmental, Natalie Bauer and Melissa Russell of Bella Bianca gave us their picks that ranges from 70s trend, splurge items and more.

The shirt dress is one item I am looking to add to my closet, like the one seen at the Altuzarra Sp/Su ’15 runway(above), this spring. There’s something so chic and classic with this piece, that it can be dressed up or down. I enjoy taking items and remixing them for completely different looks. The shirt dress is that perfect piece I can have a lot of fun playing around with!

I love the texture of this shoe (pictured above) and the versatility that you can wear with it jeans, skirts and trousers all day!
I’m all about adding a little flare to my spring style; flare denim is the most flattering on an hourglass figure, so why not flaunt those curves girls!!
Winter is so OVER and I’m ready to put my black to bed and ring in the season with bold color and girly silhouettes.

Brielle: I’m looking to add a Chanel Large Quilted Caviar Boy Bag to my collection. They didn’t make them this season, so I’m waiting for one to arrive at Luxury Garage Sale!

Lindsay: I can’t wait to add the Celine Black and White Striped Phantom (pictured above) from Spring/Summer 2015 to my wardrobe. I’m obsessed with anything black and white!

Items: Celine Bumbag

Over the last few season, we’ve slowly started to see the return of the fanny pack or as its now been rebranded, the belt bag. Designers such as Tory Burch, Alexander Wang, and Elizabeth & James have all been doing them for the last couple of years, however this season Celine launched its own version called the bumbag, and it’s going to make the trend huge just like they did a couple of summers ago with that other 90’s classic, the Birkenstock. Watch out for this game changer!
Kjaer Weis Lip Tint

Danish make-up artist, Kjaer Weis, has created an eco-chic make-up brand that is both high-end and certified organic. I love that all the products come in refillable packages to keep waste down, plus the quality of the make-up is just so lush.
T+J Design Tortoise Chain Necklace

Moschino, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior and Stella McCartney all showcased chain necklaces in their runway shows. It’s the statement necklace to have for spring/summer! I love this one(pictured above) by T+J Design because of the tortoise shell –it isn’t something you often see with chain necklaces.
High-Waisted Flared Jeans

I’m so over skinny jeans, I’ve been over them for the last couple of years and already switched to straight leg. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect high-waisted flared jeans for the ultimate 70s look (Stella McCartney high rise flare jeans), a trend that’s massive this spring/summer.

We are both dying to add more playful wedge sandals that are both functional and fashionable, to our wardrobe this spring – Natalie Bauer

We love this nautical Kate Spade pair, as they are reminiscent of a sunny day at the lake! – Melissa Russell.
