Panama Papers and the ‘Dirty Politicians,’ oh boy. Over the weekend, a massive data leak concerning Panama-based law firm, Mossack Fonseca, was released by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and is now at the center of several possible tax evasion investigations. The gist of it is that the firm created many MANY shell companies (200,000) that helped politicians, criminals, billionaires and celebs hide wealth, which let’s be honest the practice of shell companies isn’t a new thing. It’s headline making because of the vast number of world leaders revealed to be implicated including Russia’s Vladmir Putin, Iceland’s Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson, Syria’s president Bashar al-Assad. At least $2 billion in transactions involved people and companies with alleged ties to Putin. The Panama Papers, which covers record over 40 years, from 1977 until December 2015, is being called the biggest leak of financial data in history. Read more

• The 2016 NCAA Men’s championship game is tonight with Villanova facing off against University of North Carolina, word to Petey Pablo. The 2016 NCAA Women’s championship game set for Tuesday night, will be UCONN vs Syracuse.
• Former Yahoo founder/CEO and billionare Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen are some of the investors behind Zipline, a drone plane startup that has raised $18 million in funding is coming out of stealth mode. Zipline was founded by 29-year-old Keller Rinaudo, a Harvard trained scientist formerly a profesional rock climber. They hope to help get medicine and other supplies that help save lives to remote areas.
• So far 55 people have been reported dead in a flash flood in the northern Pakistan area.
ENTERTAINMENT
•It was the battle of awards show last night as the ACM awards aired on CBS and the iHeartRadio awards aired on TNT. At the Academy Of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, co-hosted by Luke Bryant and Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert came with her new BF Anderson East, performances ranged from a duet by Dolly Parton with Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton. At The iHeartRadio awards, featured performances from Zayn Malik(former 1Der), Joe Jonas and DNCE with Niles Rogers, Pitbull, Demi Lovato, Fetty Wap to name a few. Taylor Swift was the big winner of the night and her BF Calvin Harris also won for Dance Artist of the Year.

•Is Valentino buying Balmain? Late yesterday rumours that Valentino, which is now owned by Qatar investment firm Mayhoola, offered €500 million ($569 million) and an unnamed “Chinese group and an American investor” also providing solid offers. The heirs of Balmain’s former chairman and majority owner, Alain Hivelin, have until Thursday to decide on the offer, so more to come on this.
• The first ever Federal Smart Fabrics Summit will be held in Washington DC next week on April 11. Panelists from different industries utlizing smart tech will be on hand for discussion. U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker will moderate a session on the future of smart fabrics. Speaking of, Moncler will launch its Sp/Su ’16 line with RFID (Radio-frequency identification) tags to combat counterfeiting.
