• EgyptAir Flight 955 which had 135 passengers and crew on board had to make an emergency landing in Uzbekistan after a bomb threat phone call was made. The flight has now resumed and is en route to Beijing after officials said no bomb was found on the Airbus A-330-220. The incident came nearly three weeks after an EgyptAir flight crashed in the Mediterranean Sea.
• After Madonna’s less than stellar wilted attempt at a tribute for Prince during the Billboard awards, BET has announced the lineup for their planned Prince tribute during the BET awards June 26. The lit lineup includes Sheila E., The Roots, D’Angelo and Janelle Monáe.
• Amazon is investing $3 Billion in India, the world’s second-most populous country, projected by the UN to overtake China by 2022; the ninth-largest economy in 2014 and Amazon’s fastest growing market. Since its unable to get a strong foothold in China like most other tech businesses, the investment in India by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was made yesterday during a meeting of U.S. business leaders in D.C with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.

• Variety’s Actors on Actors issue is out and features different covers with Aziz Ansari and Kerry Washington, Lady Gaga and Jamie Lee Curtis. In their sit down interview Washington talked about how she was fired from 2 pilots because “they wanted me to sound more ‘girlfriend,’ more like ‘hood,’ more ‘urban.’” which Ansari echo the experience of casting stereotypes.
