BURBERRY+SNAPCHAT

Ahead of it’s London Fashion week show Monday, Burberry is teamign up with as it happens video service snapchat for a “multipronged marketing push.” Snapchat’s one hundred million users see up to four billion videos a day that disappear after 24 hours. [WWD]


TRUMP

The Republican presidential candidate held a town hall rally in New Hampshire yesterday and
one of the attendees said “We have a problem in this country. Its called Muslims. You know our current president is one. You know he’s not even an American. We have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That’s my question when can we get rid of them?” Trump did not correct the unidentified man about his claims and reporters asked him why he didn’t correct the assertion to which he had no response. THE FED

Did we really think they would raise the rate? After their two day meeting, the US Federal Reserve decided to delay raising interest rate based on a few reasons: economic performance of emerging economies, China’s economic slowdown, the strength of the US labor market. YANG JINJUN

China’s anti corruption campaign operation “Sky-Net” that launched in April targeting 100 high profile fugitives wanted in China has nabbed its first in the US. Yang Jinjun, a fugitive suspected of graft and bribery and one of China’s most wanted who fled to the US in 2001 was extradited back to China since there is no extradition treaty between the two, though US hasn’t made it a rule to always extradite Chinese fugitives in part due to their poor human rights records. It was announced yesterday that the city will put on a major new year’s eve celebration along the Chicago river which will include an ascending Chicago star. The last time a big spectacle along the river was hyped was the Chicago Fire Festival and we know how that turned out. Here’s to underpromising and over delivering.
