The fire in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada is still raging on much so that some residents had to be evacuated by air and officials warned it could be days or weeks before evacuated locals can return home. More than 1,110 firefighters, 145 helicopters and 22 air tankers are fighting the fires which has become challenging due to gusty winds but hoping for rain soon. Read more

• Eulalio Tordil, who shot and killed his estranged wife following an argument as she was picking her children up from school, is on the run and wanted by authorities. The 62-year-old also shot a bystander who intervened, in the shoulder, according to Maryland’s Prince George’s County police.
• Try as you may, you can’t avoid the Trump press machine and now that he’s the presumed GOP nominee for President, it seems he might not be bringing the party together after all. • A jury brought 11 guilty verdicts to serial killer Lonnie David Franklin Jr, the man authorities believed was the “Grim Sleeper” nearly 30 years after the first victim was found in South Central LA. Jurors will hear evidence to help them decide whether he should be executed or sentenced to life in prison without parole.
