WORLD NEWS

• After 2 decades of secrecy, Switzerland’s two largest banks will publish their earnings. Cie. Lombard, Odier SCA(established in 1796) and Pictet & Cie. Group SCA will publish by the end of the month. “They’re doing so as Switzerland’s private banking industry and traditional secrecy comes under unprecedented scrutiny from tax authorities in the U.S. and Europe.” reports Bloomberg. The banks, traditionally used by the world’s richest families to protect their fortunes, oversee about $630 billion for private and institutional clients. [BLOOMBERG]

SPORTS

• It’s almost all Love, as in Kevin Love. The deal to send the Minnesota Timberwolves star forward to the Cleveland Cavaliers will be finalized as soon as the 30 day waiting period ends on Saturday. The break down of the deal: three teams involved (Cleveland, Minnesota, Philadelphia 76ers). No.1 pick Andrew Wiggins will be traded to Minnesota along with 2013 No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett, 76ers forward Thaddeus Young and a trade exception believed to be worth at least $4 million. BUSINESS

• Chicago based Crate & Barrel’s most recent executive shakeup may have been due to the company’s owner’s displeasures “with the retailer’s results and e-commerce strategy” according to reports from Crains. Owned by Germany’s The Otto Group, Crate and Barrel posted sales of $1.38 billion in its most recent fiscal year, ending Feb 28. Gordon Segal has been brought back to help in search of a new CEO, since the company has only had 3 in it’s 52 year history. [CRAINS]

CELEBRITIES

• Pre-parties are currently underway for the upcoming Emmy Awards show. Audi sponsored a bash at Cecconi’s restaurant where stars such as “Downton Abbey” Michelle Dockery, Zoe Saldana, Allison Janey, Aaron Paul, Sarah Hyland, Ty Burell, Steven Levitan of Modern Family, Jessica Pare to name a few, were in attendance. The Emmys will air August 25. • If there was ever such a thing as TMI TV, the new WeTV show will fit into that category. The network has ordered 9 hour long episodes of new show sex box. Sex box will be a US spin off a UK show in which contestants have sex in a box, not on the air but in a soundproof box and then discuss their intimate exploits with a panel of experts. • Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey has sold 68,667 that he owns in the company which comes to about £5.2 million or $6.8 million and he still owns still owns 303,110 shares. [VOGUE UK]
