Summertime Chi is in full effect and you need to take advantage of every sunshiney minute the weekend allows you, which is why we are bringing you the weekend platter filled with some awesome things to do each weekend this summer. DETAILS: Hellenic pride will take center stage at the annual culinary fest on Halsted Street in the West Loop.Blending Old World traditions with a 21st century freshness, the tantalizing food and spirits from neighborhood eateries will again be the main attraction. There will also be plenty of music and entertainment including Greek bands, belly dancers and games for both kids and families. And a NEW fest highlight in 2014 will be the debut of a fine arts area

DETAILS: To help Wrigley Field continue its season-long centennial celebration, American rock band O.A.R. will perform for 90-minute postgame set immediately following the conclusion of the Cubs’ afternoon game against the Baltimore Orioles. The event will take place Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Red and Purple Lots on the west side of Wrigley Field.

WHAT: CELEBRATE CASTAWAYS’ 15 YEARS BY GIVING BACK LOCALLY TO A GREAT CAUSE
