EVENT: WVON’s Speak Sistah Speak presents: An Evening with Valerie Jarrett

ABOUT: WVON’s Sister Speak is an evening of networking, and sisterhood for today’s female professionals and entrepreneurs. In conversation with Starr Jones, Valerie Jarrett the first African American senior advisor to the President of the United States, to share her perspective on women and power.

EVENT: Kevin Spacey: Renaissance Man 

ABOUT:  The Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago  will celebrate one of the most dynamic and versatile actors today; Golden Globe, Tony, BAFTA and two-time Academy Award-winner Kevin Spacey. “Kevin Spacey: Renaissance Man” will pay tribute to the actor’s accomplishments on the screen as well as give attendees the opportunity to hear an intimate conversation, providing insights into his creative process and influences, favorite roles, upcoming projects and more. A retrospective of film clips from some of his most memorable performances will accompany the conversation highlighting his illustrious career. The evening will culminate with the presentation of the Gene Siskel Film Center Renaissance Award to Spacey by SAIC President Elissa Tenny and GSFC Advisory Board Chair Ellen Sandor.

ABOUT:  CAD’s annual fundraiser / art show / learning event / silent auction / inevitable dance party is a celebration of CAD’s resident artists, vibrant community.
