10 Restaurants We Can’t Wait to Try For Chicago Restaurant Week

Just as your New Years resolutions to spend, less, workout more and eat relatively clean began to come into focus…in comes Chicago Restaurant Week! Chicago Restaurant Week runs from Friday, January 27 through Thursday, February 9, and we’re ready to take full advantage of these dining deals and give those resolutions a little break.

You get two weeks to try prix fixe menus from the hot spot restaurants you’ve been meaning to try, along with some of the classic hubs. The special prix fixe menus start at $22 for brunch (NEW for 2017!) and lunch, and $33 and/or $44 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity) with over 300 restaurants are participating this year. The tenth year in it’s existence, Chicago Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to get the full culinary (Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese) sampling from the pricey to the uber cool restaurants Chicago has to offer. To help you put together a game plan for this year’s Chicago Restaurant Week, we’re putting the spotlight on some Chicago restaurants that we can’t wait to try out.


El Che Bar

The Run Down: Choose from three first course options including Anticucho Carne, one second course and of course dessert is the short bread cookie with dulce de leche and lucuma ice cream. Menu


Oceanique Restaurant
Location: Evanston
Price: Lunch 22$/Dinner 33$
The Run Down: Take a trek up north to one of the areas best seafood restaurants in the area. From the wild maine lobster starter to the eggplant heirloom with chanterlle mushrooms, you can’t beat the price. Menu

The Run Down: Vegetarian and vegan options aplenty under the direction of Chef Lee Wolen. If you’ve always wanted to go but no time or budget constrained this is the perfect time. The Scallops are insanely good! Menu

The Run Down: It doesn’t get any more French than escargot paired with duck a l”orange
