Two New Fashion Destinations For Men Land In Chicago

With some of the recent closings of menswear shops in the city, Haberdash, Gallery Aesthe (though they are re-opening in Wicker Park this summer), we are happy to report that 2 shops catering to Chicago’s best and dapper men, The Blk Tux and Bonobos, are opening.

The Andy Dunn (and at a time Trunk Club’s Brian Spaly) founded e-commerce menswear brand opened their first Chicago outpost currently located in Lincoln Park (845 W. Armitage) in 2012 and they are set to open their second location inside the 900 shops. The a 2,800 square-foot Bonobos Guideshop at 900 North Michigan Shops will open Thursday, April 21. The brick-and-mortar Guideshop offers men the opportunity to look, feel and try on current collections from Bonobos before purchasing, guided throughout the process by a skilled Bonobos Guide. The hours will be Monday – Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm.
How their Guideshop Works:
· Make an appointment for a one-on-one fitting with a Bonobos Guide 
· Once you’re fit, check out at Bonobos.com either during your Guideshop appointment, with the help of a Guide, or place your order at home later
· Shipping is free and items are delivered to your doorstep in 1-5 days
· Bonobos offers easy returns (free return shipping) and guarantees 100% customer satisfaction

Just in time for Chicago’s Spring/Summer busy events season, Black Tux is opening their first Chicago pop up showroom inside The Tie Bar space in Lincoln Park (918 N. Armitage). The Blk Tux, founded in California by two friends after their experience renting tuxedo for a wedding, offers men an alternative to traditional tuxedo and suit rental outlets. They partner with top suiting manufacturers and prices range from $15 Vest rentals to $120 suits/tuxedos. If you want a complete outfit, those start at $155. You can rent anything from cufflinks, shoes, ties, suspenders, shirts to the tuxedo. The brand recently announced their first fashion collaboration with Ovadia & Sons. The Chicago Black Tux pop up will be around until June.
So if you’re headed to UCCRF Fund The Fight Ball next week or Zoo-ologie next month, you might want to give them a try.
