Louis Vuitton Debuts Orange-Hued Temporary Chicago Residency Pop-Up
- Louis Vuitton is opening its first Chicago residency in the West Loop

Louis Vuitton is opening its first Chicago temporary residency in the West Loop, centered around the Fall/Winter 2019 Menswear collection designed by native son Virgil Abloh, just in time as his MCA Chicago exhibition “Figures of Speech” curated by Micheal Darling debuts.
Maison Louis Vuitton’s first-ever pop-up space in the city of Wind aka Chicago, will open on June 8 and remain open through July 7. The space, at 1100 W. Randolph along with all the pieces showcased inside for purchase is an all orange hued capsule down to the building.
Louis Vuitton’s limited-time only residency in celebration of the men’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection designed by Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Artistic Director. Within an orange-hued conceptual and radical space specially designed for this residency, the collection includes a limited-edition range of ready to wear and accessories, designed exclusively for Chicago. All commissioned in orange, these unique pieces disrupt the store’s monochromatic palette, bringing a pigment of urban living inside.
The short-lived residency will be housed in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, just south of Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at The Museum of Contemporary Art.
