Prince Rogers Nelson has floated into the purple sky. Yesterday morning, TMZ broke news that Prince passed away, then his publicist confirmed and we all fell into shock and mourning an iconic entertainer. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death. A recent report stated he was given a save shot for possible overdose during an emergency hospital visit last week and he made frequent pharmacy visits. He was found unconscious in his home. • Uber, in settling two lawsuit cases in California and Massachusetts, will pay up to $100 million to drivers who had sought to be classified as employees. In addition to the monetary settlement, which breaks down as an initial sum of $84 million to some 385,000 drivers plus an additional $16 million if the company’s valuation reaches 1.5 times its current value after it goes public or if it gets bought, Uber will institute several changes in the way it disciplines drivers.
• A 16 year old girl who sustained serious injuries after she was jumped (assaulted) in a high school bathroom in Wilmington, Del has died. Allegedly the victim, Amy Inita Joyner-Francis and another girl, were fighting over a boy when others jumped in, now homicide detectives are investigating.
• The family of Marques Gaines, are suing 7-Eleven and a taxi company. Video footage of Gaines being knocked unconcious and subsequently ran over by a cab and later pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital was released yesterday. A bearded, hoodie-clad man that knocked Gaines unconscious in front of the river north establishment has not been identified or arrested, according to the Chicago Police Department.

• HBO will be viewing central this weekend as Beyonce’s Lemonade will air Saturday night and Game of Thrones is back Sunday night. Don’t have HBO? Lucky for you HBO and Cinemax will be offering a free preview weekend from Friday, April 22nd through Monday, April 25th.

• One of the last few remaining flash sale sites will be shutdown at the end of May. Amazon’s MyHabit which was launched in 2011 is set to shut down but Amazon is continuing it’s push into fashion.
