• MasterCard has listened to Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart’s pleas to disallow use of their cards by patrons of Backpage.com, a classifieds site that offers an adult section and allegedly allows pimps and sex traffickers to solicit sex anonymously. With 1.4 million ads for sex placed just this past April, they generate roughly $9 million a month. [WASHINGTON POST]

• The State Department released some 30,000 work emails relating to Hilary Clinton’s time as Secretary of State, that a judge has ordered to be released in batches. Some included her knowledge of who a fax machine works, doubts about fitting into Pres. Obama’s administration
speaking of the White House, first lady Michelle Obama just announced that the previous policy banning photos or social media allowed has been lifted, again a sign of the times. [POLITICO]
• Monday we mentioned the investigation into suspicious fires at six black churches in the south and now the historic Mount Zion AME Church in Greeleyville, SC is the seventh burned in the wake of the Emanuel shooting. Mount Zion AME is one of two churches that was torched in June 1995 by two KKK members. [THE POST AND COURIER]
WORLD NEWS
• Two senior Uber executives, Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty, Uber’s general manager for Western Europe, and Thibaud Simphal, general manager at Uber France have been ordered to stand trial on behalf of the company on charges including “deceptive commercial practices” and illegally organizing taxi services through its low-cost UberPop ride-hailing option. As you will remember there was a big protest of UberPOP last week from taxi drivers. [NY TIMES]
SPORTS
• With a score of 2-0 the US Women’s soccer team beat Germany to advance to the final of the Women’s World Cup. In the 69th minute Carli Lloyd scored a goal, followed by Kelley O’Hara 84 minutes into the match. The finals will be played Sunday July 5. [ESPN]
BUSINESS
• Toyota’s Julie Hamp, who became their highest-ranking woman at the company and one of the most senior executives who was not Japanese, has resigned. She is still currently in a Japanese jail and has been in custody since June 18 following her arrest on suspicion of illegally bringing oxycodone, a restricted painkiller, into the country. • Kim Kardashian, addressed the Commonwealth Club of California (kinda like City Club Chicag), while promoting her new book, Selfish. She spoke about tighter gun laws, backs Hillary, Social media and being more private these days. Speaking of privacy, Ben Affleck and Jen Garner are definitely getting a divorce, you’ll remember there had been speculations. They ask for privacy at this time. [MIRROR UK]

•Phil Knight, co-founder and current Chairman of Nike will step down but an official departure date has yet to be announced. He wants Nike President and CEO since 2006, Mark Parker, to succeed him. Speaking of stepping down, Donna Karan is stepping down as chief designer of Donna Karan International but will remain a close adviser. At the present time, DKI won’t seek a successor for Karan as chief designer of Donna Karan Collection and will suspend that brand’s runway shows and collections for now. “I have arrived at a point in my life where I need to spend more time to pursue my Urban Zen commitment to its fullest potential and follow my vision of philanthropy and commerce.” [WWD]
• Princess Charlotte, whose baptism will take place this weekend will have a special photog behind the lens. Mario Testino, who has previously captured images of the royal family, will take the official photographs of the christening party following the Princess’s baptism on Sunday. [VOGUE UK]
