Though news yesterday that the Nigerian Army had rescued 200 girls and 93 women from the Sambisa forest in northeastern Nigeria from terror Islamist group Boko Haram, it seems none of them are the 200 schoolgirls that were kidnapped from Chibok last year. “Boko Haram has kidnapped thousands of women as part of a violent campaign, which has included mass killings, to impose Islamic law in Nigeria in the past six years.” [BLOOMBERG]
The Royal Baby is expected any day now. Kate Middleton’s “due date” has come and gone and she was recently spotted driving while taking Prince George to grandma’s house.

• A projected first round pick in the NFL draft here in Chicago, LSU’s La’el Collins, is want for questioning in the shooting death of a pregnant woman-Brittany Mills, last week. He is not being pursued as a suspect but as part of the investigation since he was previously romantically linked to her. [NOLA]
• Crazy town! The NFL, which generate revenue of $10 billion in 2013, yesterday morning announced the League’s central office will become a taxable entity, ending it’s tax-exempt status that was a “distraction.” This pre-empts a move to revoke the tax break that had been led by former Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma but did not gain backing over the years. “For the NFL, the costs of losing the tax break are minimal, an estimated $109 million over the next decade. There are benefits for the league, too, including the end of federal disclosure requirements that put Goodell’s salary and some other league information in the public domain.” [BLOOMBERG]
BUSINESS
The president of At&T’s U-Verse business, Aaron Slator, has been fired ami claims of racial discrimination. The African-American female assistant was asked “to copy racist photos and texts, including a photo with young African children smiling and dancing, captioned “It’s Friday ‘N’ Word.” In an email, AT&T responded “Aaron Slator has been terminated. There is no place for demeaning behavior within AT&T and we regret the action was not taken earlier.” [REUTERS]

Though no longer an item, Susan Sarandon an ex-boyfriend Jonathan Bricklin talked about the frustration of their relationship and 30-year age difference in his AOL Originals series, Connected. ‘I don’t feel comfortable when Susan’s in her movie star persona. I feel weird.’ By the end of they were both in tears.
