The category 3 Hurricane which has been picking up steam through the Bahamas may or may not bring record rainfall and potential flooding to the east coast of North Carolina and Virginia by this weekend, though it is expected to gain strength into a category 4 storm by late Thursday. The Carolinas Virgina and parts of Maryland are expected to get about heavy rain from a different tropical storm where Virginia’s governor already declared a state of emergency. [NBC NEWS]

The body/remains of the teen that went missing in 2008 was found last month in the chimney of a mountain cabin that was set to be demolished, though it was just reported in the news yesterday. Though teh body was identified through dental records, the death might be ruled accidental as no gunshot, trauma or injuries were found on the remains. [REUTERS]
CONAGRA
Plans to move the company’s headquarters into Chicago inside the Merchandise Mart as well as a $300 million efficiency plan to improve profitability was announced today. The restructuring plan will eliminate 1,500 positions, 30% of their “global office-based workforce” but they will derive $200 million cost saving. ConAgra is a packaged food company that sells labels such as Marie Callenders, Orville Redenbacher, Egg Beaters. [MARKET WATCH]

Someone or a big group are $310 million richer today as the wining ticket to the $310.5 million powerball jackpot was revealed to have been sold at a gas station in Three Rivers in southwestern Michigan.

The second day of airstrikes by Russian jets is underway as they target groups linked to al Qaeda and not ISIS. Senator John McCain in a CNN interview said Russia was actually targeting CIA trained troops and not areas held by ISIS. Iran is now in the mix as they prepare hundreds of troops on the ground to join the Syrian army to recapture territories Syrian president Assad lost to rebels. The US is leading a separate war against ISIS in Syria as well meaning that for the first time since WWII, “the cold war foes are engaged in air combat over the same country.” [REUTERS]
