• Students(11) at Wesleyan University in Connecticut are being treated for MDMA (aka Molly) overdose and one, a sophomore, is in critical condition. In high doses, Molly, or MDMA, interferes with the body’s ability to regulate temperature, causing overheating that can lead to liver, kidney and heart failure. • Following last week’s announcement that Apple will invest $850 million in a solar farm in California, Apple plans to spend 1.7 billion euros ($1.9 billion) on two European data centers. The influx of US companies looking to open data centers in the region showed Europe was becoming a safe haven for data, which could also be attributed to concerns over U.S. data protection and NSA’s surveillance operations. • North Korea, whose borders have remained closed to foreign tourists since last October has banned foreign runners from participating in an international marathon scheduled to be held in the capital-Pyongyang-in April due to fears about the spread of ebola. [TELEGRAPH]

• Charlie Ergen, the founder and Chairman of Dish Network, Corp will take over from current CEO Joseph Clayton at the end of March, as it was reported the company lost 79,000 pay-TV subscribers last year. Debuting Sling TV, an online TV service for $20 a month to compete with streaming services from Netflix and Amazon; Ergen has contacted Deutsche Telekom AG expressing an interest to buy its T-Mobile US Inc. unit after a deal to merge T-Mobile with Sprint fell apart.
