• Uptown’s Tree House Humane Society Cat Shelter, short of it’s $7mil goal by $2mil, is set to break ground next month. 15,000-square-foot location at 7225 N. LAPD rookie cop, Henry Solis, is currently wanted for the murder of local truck driver 23-year-old Salome Rodriguez Jr. Solis had help from his father fleeing to Texas. Victor Solis allegedly told agents that he drove his son to El Paso on March 13 and dropped him off at a bus station, but that he does not know where his son is. [NBC LOS ANGELES]

A lot of noise was made all week about Ryanair’s $15 flights between Europe and US but just like dad used to say, if it’s too good to be true its no good. Ryan Air is backtracking and said they made a mistake announcing the deal. “In the light of recent press coverage, the Board of Ryanair Holdings Plc wishes to clarify that it has not considered or approved any transatlantic project and does not intend to do so.” Michael O’Leary, Ryanair’s CEO told the Financial Times he was surprised that the story grew “such legs.” Sir! BUSINESS

Peter Chou is out, Chairwoman Cher Wang is back in at HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone maker. Although, Chou to his credit led HTC’s rise to the top of the U.S. smartphone rankings, HTC became the first smartphone maker to offer Android, the settling of a patent dispute with Apple In, the purchase and sale of Beats Electronics, stocks and market shares have plummeted since 2013. Founder Wang returned to daily operations two years ago, taking an active role in customer service, marketing and personnel. Chou will take a new role as head of the HTC Future Development Lab. Jimmy Kimmel is currently filming his late night show in Austin as part of SXSW for the second year. So far a roster of guests that have included Will Ferrel, Kevin Hart, Tony Romo and even Bill Murray(in a dress and cowboy boots). Kanye West, who was scheduled for an appearance on Friday in the show’s signature “mean tweets” segment as well as a sketch poking fun at his infamous interruptions, won’t be there. Former Pucci Creative Director Peter Dundas has been appointed Creative Director of Roberto Cavalli where he previously worked from 2002 to 2005. The Pucci company, owned by LVMH, had issued no statement on Mr. Dundas or any potential successor. At Roberto Cavalli, Mr. Dundas will be responsible for women’s wear, men’s wear and accessories, in addition to overseeing its licenses, marketing and communications. [NY TIMES]
