• At last night’s After School Matters Gala, it was announced that Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose will be donating $1 million dollars to the Chicago-based nonprofit, which provides out-of-school programs for underprivileged teenagers. [CHICAGO BUSINESS]

• The identity of the gunman who opened fire at an Alabama UPS facility has been revealed. Kerry Joe Tesney was recently fired after losing an appeal to his termination. He walked into his former employer’s location with his uniform on and killed two people before turning the gun on himself. [NEWSWEEK]
WORLD NEWS
• A new analysis by the World Health Organization concludes that the ebola virus has already killed more people than all previous outbreaks combined. Based on data collected during the last nine months, a panel of more than 60 WHO experts estimated that more than 20,000 people would be infected with Ebola by Nov. 2. The researchers also found that the disease had been fatal in 71% of confirmed cases. [LA TIMES]
SPORTS
• FSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston is back in the news, unfortunately not for his accomplishments on the field. In the ongoing investigation of the rape case he was acquitted of last year, it’s revealed his accuser demanded $7 million to stay silent of the matters and not go to the media. TMZ reports, the victim’s lawyer, Patricia Carroll, demanded $7 million dollars to settle her client’s claims against FSU and Winston.
“Carroll claimed her client’s sexual encounter had to be rape, because she would never sleep with a “black boy.” Fact is … the alleged victim’s boyfriend at the time was black.” [TMZ]
BUSINESS
• All squared away in Blackberry land. The ailing phone company, once a giant in the smartphone space, will introduce a shift to target more business and professional users and less the consumer market. The soon to be unveiled Blackberry Passport is a square screened smartphone. Bad timing for Blackberry, amidst iPhone 6 fever which has sold 10 million units since it’s release last week. BlackBerry will sell the new handset for $599 in the U.S. without a mobile plan. [BLOOMBERG]
•Deerfield based Walgreens, currently the largest U.S. provider of home-infusion services, is exploring the sale of it’s infusion services majority controlling stake of just over 50 percent reports Reuters. Bank of America Corp has been engaged to run a sale process for Walgreens Infusion Services, which has already attracted interest from private equity firms. The unit for sale offers infusion services at home and at care centers across the United States. Infusion therapies are used for medical conditions such as bleeding disorders and serious infections. CELEBRITIES
• Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland has been granted a temporary restraining order against her ex boyfriend Matthew Prokop ordering him to stay at least 300 feet away from her and her dog. The actress alleges she experienced four years of abuse during their relationship.
She also claims that Prokop threatened to commit arson by setting one of her homes on fire and to get rid of her dog.[E!ONLINE]

• Victoria Beckham unveiled her new London store and boy is it posh! The space located on Dover Street is 6,040-square-foot and spans 3 floors. The space which looks more art gallery was designed by the architect Farshid Moussavi. The store will not have cash registers but rather all transactions will be via iPad. [WWD]
