The Federal Reserve will shut down it’s bond-buying program but recent events have increased the risk the U.S. central bank may need to keep propping up the economy for longer than had been expected. The Fed is likely to announce at the end of a two-day meeting that it will no longer add to its holdings of Treasury bonds and mortgage-backed securities. [REUTERS]

The President of Zambia, Michael Sata, has died following an undisclosed illness he was being treated for at the private King Edward VII hospital in London. He took office in 2011 describing himself as a “man of action”; elections will be held within 90 days for a new leader of the country. [NY TIMES]

 The 2014 World Series Champion will be crowned tonight in game 7, as the Kansas City Royal play the San Francisco Giants at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals won last night’s game 10-0 [USA TODAY]

Wanelo, short for WANT.NEED.LOVE is becoming the go-to digital mall where more than 11 million users come expressly to shop, seeing gains on their social commerce platform. Sephora called the platform its “fastest-growing social platform.” Farfetch said Wanelo converts five times greater than Pinterest. [WWD]
