Annoying as it may be to get those candy crush invites from FB friends, people are hooked on the money maker and Activision Blizzard is buying King Digital Entertainment maker of the smartphone hit ‘Candy Crush,’ in a $5.9 billion deal!! Activision Blizzard will acquire all of the outstanding shares of King for $18.00 in cash per share, a 20% premium over King’s 30 October 2015 closing price. Activision Blizzard, already a global leader in interactive entertainment across  console and PC platforms is now positioned to be leader in mobile. The combined company will have a world-class interactive entertainment portfolio of top-performing franchises, including two of the top five highest-grossing mobile games in the U.S. (Candy Crush Saga®, Candy Crush Soda Saga™), the world’s most successful console game franchise (Call of Duty®), and the world’s most successful personal computing franchise (World of Warcraft®).


UBER

The commercials & lobbyists must have worked because rideshare company Uber and Lyft can begin operating at Chicago’s airports (Midway, O’Hare) starting Nov. 12. The regulations will be subject to a 10-day public comment period before they are put into place and Uber plus other ride-hailing services would pay a $5 surcharge every time they pickup or drop off passengers at O’Hare, Midway, McCormick Place or Navy Pier; Cabs pay $4 at airports only. The new tax is expected to generate $30 million. Speaking of Uber, yesterday dash cam video showing Uber-X driver Edward Caban being attacked by 32-year old Benjamin Golden, corporate manager for Taco Bell who repeatedly struck him, shouting expletives and pulling his hair, before he was arrested. Elsewhere a St. Petersburg Uber driver was arrested for allegedly exchanging a ride for oral sex.

Yesterday, Victoria’s Secret revealed this year’s multi-million Fantasy Bra, valued at more than $2 million, on model Lily Aldridge who has been chosen to wear it at the annual fashion show next week…After racking up thousands of followers and perhaps thousands from brands that pay her to shill their products, 19-year-old Australian model and instagrammer @essenaoneill is revealing “Social media is not real life.”? she has since deleted thousands of images and redacted captions on others after announcing she is quitting social media…Two protesters rappelled down from the upper balcony to unfurl a banner protesting against Bank of America during Monday night football…Taraji P. Henson along with Empire costume designer Paolo Nieddu received the Accessories Council ACE Influencers Award.

The biggest night for American fashion’s emerging talent, #CFDAVFF, this year’s winner is a three way tie between Aurora James of Brother Vellies(footwear line), Gypsy Sport(streetwear), and Jonathan Simkhai(womenswear).
