GLOBAL MARKET
Celebrate the small wins especially as it pertains to the global economy. China’s economy grew last year at its slowest pace in a quarter of a century, which helped shares in Europe and Asia rise a bit; gross domestic product rose 6.8% in the fourth quarter from a year earlier in China. The S&P 500 Index had a higher opening and foreign currencies aren’t doing so bad. Former Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke said China was making “good progress” with financial reforms. #smallwins

This is on the heels of several other issues including waiting 13 months to charge officer Van Dyke in the Laquan McDonald shooting case.
