JULIAN ASSANGE

The WikiLeaks founder has been a long term guest, three-and-a-half-years, at the Ecuadorian embassay in London and tomorrow a UN panel will publish their ruling whether his stay there is unlawful detention. If he loses the appeal, which isn’t legally binding, he will leave the embassy and accept arrest by British police. Assange is wanted in Sweden for questioning over allegations of rape in 2010. WikiLeaks released “hundreds of thousands of secret U.S. diplomatic and military cables in 2010” so he may be extradited to the US if he loses this appeal as well.

Billionaire John Malone, who controls Starz’s voting shares, is interested in merging with Canadian-domiciled Lions Gate to lower the company’s taxes.
