On Sunday, September 11, the Waldorf Astoria Chicago and Eataly Chicago teamed up for an outdoor “Piazza ’Ora” (gold piazza) where the luxury hotel’s European-inspired courtyard was transformed into an Italian piazza with live music and authentic food stations.
Featuring Eataly favorites, such as arancini and gelato, courtesy of Rob Wing, Executive Chef of Eataly Chicago, and a mouthwatering Italian Prochetta sandwich from Executive Sous Chef of Waldorf Astoria Chicago, Nicholas Marino.

Guests gathered in the Gold Coast to mingle and toast to the occasion with a selection of Italian wines, Prosecco, refreshing summer Aperol spritz cocktails and beer. Partygoers were also treated to a mini fashion show with beautiful models donned in Italian styles, courtesy of The Shops at North Bridge, who also sponsored the event.
