AAHH! FEST by COMMON, is coming back to the city on September 24 and 25, after its debut in 2014 to city wide praise and acclaim. Academy Award-winning artist, actor, and philanthropist Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr bka COMMON, along with his philanthropic foundation the Common Ground Foundation and Donda’s House, will present AAHH! FEST 2016 featuring an all-star line-up of hip-hop and R&B artists and some rumoured special guests. The two-day festival will be held in Union Park and will include a Community Showcase featuring local Chicago-area talent as well as a can’t-miss, star-studded Main Stage performance day. Artists include, J. Cole, COMMON featuring Bilal, the Roots, Jeremih, Sir the Baptist, the Internet, Vic Mensa, Taylor Bennett, Tink and more and hosted by Deon Cole.

Jennifer Hudson, Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, De la Soul all performed at the inaugural AAHH Fest hosted by Dave Chappelle and the late DJ Timbuck2 DJing. Since Chance the Rapper’s Coloring book day will take place that same weekend, expect some surprise guests. Will Kanye show up again as he did in 2014? You’ll have to make the scene to find out.
Beginning on Saturday, September 24, the festival will launch with the Community Showcase, curated by Donda’s House. Open to all ages, AAHH! FEST’s Community Showcase will have activities for the entire family including health screenings, entertainment, fun interactive games and more. Additionally, burgeoning Chicago-area talent will be able to audition for a chance to perform on the Main Stage with the likes of COMMON and the festival’s other well-known musical acts.
The festival weekend continues into Sunday, September 25, with the mind-blowing Main Stage performances. Open to guests 18 years and older, the line-up includes today’s most popular hip-hop and R&B stars. Tickets for the festival are now available at here
