When Chicago weather gives you lemons in the form of rain and overcast for your planned outdoor event, you drink Veuve and keep the party going. Last Wednesday(6/17), in partnership with Jena Gambaccini of ChiCityFashion, the W Hotel Lakeshore & Veuve Clicquot hosted a champagne themed BubbleQ. Originally slated to take place outside, the party was moved inside due to weather acting like a basic.
Spotted at the hotel was director Spike Lee who we wished had joined guests in attendance such as Eva Daiberl, Whitney Bichsel, Stephen Young, DJ Lani Love, for pours upon pours of Veuve Cliquot champagne, nosh from Current’s kitchen, photo booth fun and party favorite, cotton candy from Spin Spun.
The room was adorned with beautiful flower arrangements but the wall of flowers which was the backdrop of the photo booth was the hit! It was a champagne field evening which was capped off by the Navy Pier fireworks show.
