Event: A HOTEL LIFE Second Anniversary

Where: The New York EDITION in New York City

Who’s Who: Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Christina Applegate, Jenna Elfman, Paula Abdul, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Billie Lourde, Joely Fisher, Lance Bass, Elizabeth Berkely, Tara Lipinski, Allison Holker, Rosalyn Sanchez, Eric Winter and Ben Vereen and many more.
The scoop: The Dizzy Feet Foundation founded by Nigel Lythgoe (American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance) and director Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Rock of Ages), whose mission is to sponsor, fund and/or support access to and the quality of dance education programs that expose children in low-income areas to the lifelong benefits of dance education in the United States. Performances by Joffrey Ballet Dancers Fabrice Calmels and Victoria Jaiani;Jenna Dewan Tatum; Cyrus “Glitch” Spencer and Sara “Lil Mini” Pheonix.
Event:MERCEDES-BENZ EVOLUTION TOUR WITH BASTILLE & DJ RUCKUS
Date:Wednesday, July 29
Where: Navy Pier – Aon Grand Ballroom (600 E Grand Ave)
The scoop: Mercedes-Benz’s Evolution Tour presents the second installment of the multi-city music tour, featuring headlining performances by Bastille and a set by DJ Ruckus, showcasing the GLA and CLA, two compact luxury vehicles designed to appeal to the next generation of Mercedes-Benz customers.



Event:Vevo’s third annual LIFT Live

Date: Wednesday July 29
Where: The Vic (720 S. Michigan Avenue)
The scoop: Vevo’s Third Annual LIFT Live Featuring Halsey, Misterwives, James Bay And MS MR, three of 2015’s hottest rising stars. Vevo’s support of emerging artists through the LIFT program has introduced Lorde, One Direction, Avicii, Kacey Musgraves, Florida Georgia Line, Rita Ora, Kendrick Lamar and Chicago’s own Krewella among many others.

The scoop: PAX Labs celebrates retail partnership with Notre Shop in Chicago to sell their PAX 2 vaporizer. Live DJ set by Mano. Owners of Notre Shop Rob Wilce and MJ Jaworowski, AJ Nordstrom, Jose Villanueva and Ashley Marand from PAX, Matthew Klein and Adam Passarella of All Beuys Club and Laura Baker of PBLC TRDE NY and Courtney Daniels were joined by MANO, Edo, Mic Terror, Naked Baptism, Treated Crew, Ryan Cron, Andre Noir, Don C, Chase Turner, Alex Maier, Noah Zagor, Tom Gavin, Nina Johnson, Scott Murchison, Sandy Noto.

Event:RedEye Battle of the Burger presented by Amstel Light

Date: Tuesday June 2
Where: Chicago History Museum (720 S. Michigan Avenue)
The scoop: The annual Battle of the Burger presented by Amstel Light, a competition gathering the best restaurants in Chicago to find the best burger, was hosted by Celebrity chef and Amstel Light’s spokesperson Jeff Mauro with over 500 votes were casted by attendees. Leadbelly won with their “Old Time Religion” burger (Roasted tomato, goat cheese, arugula and truffle aioli), edging out Beef & Barley (The “Smang It” Burger – Chipotle mayo, Spanish chorizo, avocado, jalapeno, lettuce, tomato and pickle) and Whisk (House Burger – Chihuahua cheese, chipotle mayo, guacamole and tortilla strips).

Event: Kohl Children’s Museum 30-Year Celebration Kick Off

Date:June 20
Where: The home of Dolores Kohl Kaplan
The scoop: The kickoff cocktail reception was held in Highland Park with 60 guests in attendance welcoming Museum President & CEO Sheridan Turner, Women’s Board president Bethany Crocker, Museum founder Dolores Kohl Kaplan and many other notable attendees. This year’s black-tie optional gala, themed “30 Years and Growing,” co-chaired by Erin and Brandon Beavers, will honor the work of the Founder’s Circle, a group of eight individuals and families whose passion and financial support made possible the creation of the Museum’s Glenview facility. The Founder’s Circle includes Thomas Donahoe, The Farley Family, Nancy Firfer, Dolores Kohl Kaplan, Diana Mendley Rauner, W. Fritz Souder, Frederick H. Waddell and Estelle Walgreen.
