Artist Janelle Monáe who is the face of the new Belvedere “A Beautiful Future” campaign hosted a “midnight” more like late night, brunch at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago to celebrate a bright future for all but most importantly to honor a quartet of local leaders for their individual community contributions towards building a more “Beautiful Future.”
Moon meals Founder and CEO LaForce Baker, Scheherazade Tillet (Co-founder and Executive Director, A Long Walk Home), Amanda Williams (Visual artist and architect, aw Studio) , and Nikki Roberson (Fundraising Director and Community Outreach, Kicks 4 the City), the night’s honorees were joined by guests including DJ Rae Chardonnay, Singer Jamila Woods, Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame Inductee and film producer Tracy Baim, as well as Belvedere execs. Belvedere’s “A Beautiful Future” campaign stands for Equality, Diversity, and Self-Expression. Check out images from the event in gallery above.
