Tavi Gevinson, the cool kid we were not as a teen and hopefully in our next reincarnation wish to be held a screening at MCA for the animated short film she voices in directed by Jonah Ansell then dinner then DJ Gig at Debonair. At 17 She’s already been featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, TWICE! betch! Founded a magazine- Rookie Magazine, appeared in NY Times and cool fashion shows, betch!
Basically at 17 she’s pretty much lived more than most of us but yet she’s still cool and down to earth. On Tuesday after the screening, Tavs (yea that’s how cool we’ve become with her, ha!) celebrated with dinner Storefront Company with her family, Jonah and Jonah’s parents. Tavs had the beet-cured Salmon-beets are the new Kale, seriously. Dinner culminated with a specially made birthday chocolate fudge cake for Tavi, topped with vanilla buttercream frosting, and kumquat syrup created by StoreFront Company’s Pastry Chef Kym DeLost.
Local artist Gary Weidner presented Tavs a print of restaurant’s 34×13 foot mixed media mural. proud of the girl and continued success!
