ABOUT: Alabama Shakes is a Grammy-winning American blues rock band formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009. The band currently consists of lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, and drummer Steve Johnson.

EVENT: Off The Street Firefly Ball

ABOUT: The 8th Annual Firefly Ball gives you the chance to enjoy a perfect Chicago summer night, while affording at least 200 children of the Off The Street Club the opportunity to enjoy summer bliss at sleep away camp.

ABOUT: The 108th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac. 326 boats have registered for the 333-mile race sprint from Chicago to Mackinac Island,MI. Spectators can enjoy the parade of boats from the east end of Navy Pier starting at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 23. Participation in the 108th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac is by invitation only from the Chicago Yacht Club, with locations at Chicago’s Monroe Harbor and Belmont Harbor

ABOUT: This month, James Beard award-winning Chef Tory Miller of restaurants Sujeo, Estrellon, Graze, and L’Etoile in Madison, Wisconsin heads to the Windy City to host two pop-up dinners with Honey Butter Fried Chicken and Sunday Dinner Club Chefs Christine Cikowski and Josh Kulp.
