Single In The City? What To do Where to Meet This Weekend

As we begin to transition to fall (whyyyy) most of you single Chicagoans are probably lamenting at the fact that the summer didn’t pan out the way you hoped. You know, you pictured a summer spent at the playpen during the weekends or 31st street beach, meeting someone to either hookup or get to know better and not have to worry about it once it gets cold outside but instead you drank too much at Big Star, went to one pool party(if you can call it that) and well you’re still single. Hey don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being single but sometimes you need someone, you know.
In the spirit of helping you single Chicagoans, we’ll try our best to roundup some places/things to hang out in hopes of meeting a special someone or 3(options, options, options).

What we can categorically call one of THE BEST ice-creams we’ve ever tasted has finally opened a store in Chicago so no need to trek over to Fox & Obel for a pint. Jeni’s ice-cream(, with an awesome entrepreneur testament, has roots in Columbus, OH and has since won over many many many fans. Head over to Jeni’s at 3404 N Southport Avenue¬†this weekend to try some of their amazing deliciousness and you just may meet a special sweet someone.

EDITION CHICAGO happening from Friday 9/20-Sunday 9/22. Chicago Artists Coalition is presenting a complementary fair to EXPO Chicago. It will take place at CAC 217 N. Carpenter St. Check out the events facebook page HERE to see who’s going so far.

College football is back baby and that’s great news. Whether you bleed scarlet and gray, root for the Stanford Cardinals, Crimson Tide or the Wildcats you won’t have a lack of places to catch your favorite teams when you can’t make it to the stadium. But here’s the thing, not all bars are equal when it comes to watching college football.
Some of our favorite places to catch the game include Rockit RiverNorth(can’t beat breakfast and ball), Fatpour in Wicker Park,Scout in South Loop, Gaslight(get there early on game days), McGees. So whether you are rooting for #1 Alabama, #Ohio State, The U make sure to come ready to watch the game and get into it obviously.
