Earlier this year, The Lyric Opera of Chicago partnered with Second City to present a sold out collaboration Second City Guide to the Opera. With Lyric Creative consultant Renee Fleming and Sir Patrick Stewart as hosts of the evening, audience members were treated to a night of improv laughs.
If you weren’t able to snag tickets to the hilariously refreshing evening, don’t worry because Second City will present a run in June of shows at the Civic Opera House, with audience members seated onstage with Fresh materials Tickets are onsale online now and I would suggest you snap them up before they are all gone. The June run of The Second City Guide to the Opera will feature two opera singers and ensemble members of The Second City.
“In addition to improvisation, the show will include completely new scenes as well as a reprise of some of the best scenes created for the inaugural performance of The Second City Guide to the Opera,”
