Saturday(6/29) evening, Art+Food+Inspiration collided at 217 N. Carpenter as the Chicago Artist Coalition hosted their 3rd annual ‘Starving Artist’ fundraiser. Starving Artist, chaired by Lesley Prizant Goodman featured Hennessy beverages crafted by Brand Architect Benjamin Newby, taco battle between Antique Taco’s Smoky shrimp elote taco (WINNER) vs. Big Star’s Taco de Borrego(braised lamb), music by Cage+Aquarium, Apothic wines. In addition to the Hennessy beverages such as the sidecar, and sangria guests also enjoyed the Hennessy Black Cosmo popsicles(yum!) and deconstructed sidecar jello shot(had 3).

Many of Chicago’s art scene supporters and gallerists came out for the event.
Lisa Cavagnaugh of Christie’s conducted the live auction of works from Sabina Ott, Stacia Yeapins, Theaster Gates, Marissa Lee Benedict, Theaster Gates.
The host committee for Starving artist included: Tony Karman, Eva Daiberl, Olga Markoff, Donna Albertson, Diana Bitting, Lisa Cavanaugh, Carmelita A. Tiu, Benjamin Newby, and Jessi Sheehan.
