Chicago’s summer social and fundraising season is well underway and on Saturday July 12, one of the marquee fundraisers of the year-Lincoln Park Zoo Ball Wild At Heart-was attended by over 600 guests including many of Chicago’s Corporate and Philanthropic leaders and next generation of leaders. The gala hosted by the Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo raised more than $1million as part of the Women’s Board pledge to provide critical support to maintain the Zoo. The 36th Annual Zoo Ball was co-chaired by Jennifer Caruso, Charlotte Monhart and Vasiliki Weiden with presenting sponsor Guggenheim Partners.
Chicago’s Civic, Philanthropic and social set including Kimbra and Mark Walter(Guggenheim Partners) ; Corporate Chair, Biff Bowman; Honorary Chair, Barbara Higgins; Rebecca and Charlie Besser(Intersport); Chairman of Lincoln Park Zoo’s Board of Trustees John Ettelson;, Anne Pramaggiore, Cece and Tom Ricketts of the Chicago Cubs; Deborah and Bruce Crown, Neiman Marcus Chicago’s Wendy Krimins and Tina Koegel, Women’s Board President Peggy White.
Guests dined under the reception tent for a divine three course dinner surrounded by HMR Designs’ breathtaking floral display . Following dinner guests danced to the music by Rendezvous and a surprise performance from KC and the Sunshine Band. Guests left with rolled blankets provided by Guggenheim, Forever Yogurt and tasty takeaways from More Cupcakes and Garrett Popcorn.
