On Monday, May 15, Rémy Martin Cognac celebrated National Cognac Day with a fleet of sidecars that weaved around Chicago from the West Loop, Loop and Michigan Avenue. LaRoyce Hawkins, Joelle Carter, John Stoffer, Jena Gambaccini, Alex Maier, Ahmed Braimah, Daniel Kelleghan were some of the cool Chicago kids that had the chance to ride around in the bespoke fleet of Rémy Martin sidecar vehicles. Guests gathered at Honey’s Chicago before going on tours to ride down major streets such as Michigan Ave.
The event allowed Rémy Martin to spotlight its rich heritage of Cognac production and the brand’s historical place within the cocktail world with a focus on its signature cocktail, The Royal Sidecar, for National Cognac Day that takes place June 4. Rémy Martin pays homage to the iconic sidecar cocktail while also modernizing the historical cognac cocktail era of the early 20s, by recreating the iconic cocktail with regionally inspired ingredients.
