No.3 Gin Holds The Key

Three fruits, three spices: Juniper, sweet Spanish orange peel, grapefruit, Angelica root, Moroccan coriander, cardamom. That’s  all you need to make a London Dry Gin complete. We present to you No. 3 Gin. During a luncheon at the Gage, we were acquainted with the 82 proof  alcohol through food and paired drinks. There’s definitely no mistaking this gin but the parings really brought out its best. From the French 33 which was a play on the classic French 75 , made with No. 3 Gin, simple syrup, lemon, prosecco and garnished with an orange peel shaving. The gin did not overpower at all.

The No.3 flip which was paired with a rich desert was No. 3 Gin made with Averna Amaro, Honey, and egg white nutmeg to finish it off.

Even for a lightweight gin drinker such as myself, it went down well. The more potent Kings Ginger Liqueur, originally created for King Edward VII, though tasty is strong.
