Jumpstart Your New Year New You With 30 Day Green Challenge

It’s the first days of the new year and like clockwork, once a new year hits, we are all ready to rev up that resolutions/goals/whatever you want to call it, engine. Whether you had a tough 2015 that you just couldn’t wait to be over or looking to keep the good momentum going for the new year, resolutions are what we do to keep us accountable, until you find yourself knee deep in some nutella stuffed donut and chocolate milk. To try and get off on the right foot, we are turning to Simple Green Smoothies co-founders Jen Hansard and Jadah Sellner to get our “New year, New me!” nutrition on the right track. They are beginning a 30-day green drink challenge starting January 1, 2016 and its pretty easy. All you need is a blender, a ninja or nutribullet which you can buy here or here and a grocery list consisting of your favorite fruits and leafy greens and Voila!

They are also offering recipes to help you ease your journey to add more fruits and leafy greens into your life which should hopefully help you, if clean eating is your goal of course!
Below are a few sample recipes to get started.

2 cups bok choy, fresh
2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
1 cup strawberries
2 cups peaches

Directions: 1. Blend bok choy and almond milk until smooth. 2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.

1 1/2 cups fresh spinach
1 cup coconut water, unsweetened
1 cup pineapple, frozen
1/4 avocado
