
The National Basketball Wives Association (NBAWA) hosted the Women’s Empowerment Summit Luncheon on Saturday Feb. 17, during the 2018 NBA All star weekend festivities. They say behind every great man, there’s a great woman but these ladies are not just playing house and keeping the home. They have careers and are inserting themselves within the community. They give back and also look for ways to empower and learn from each other. The speakers and panelists for the Women’s Empowerment Summit luncheon included Gayle King (CBS This Morning), Ayesha Curry (wife to Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors), Adrienne Bosh (wife to Chris Bosh, Miami Heat), Cookie Johnson (wife of Magic Johnson, LA Lakers), Jada Paul (wife of Chris Paul, Houston Rockets), Elaine Baylor (wife to Elgin Baylor), Tracy Wilson Mourning (wife Alonzo Mourning).

NBWA President Mia Wright gave the opening remarks of the luncheon where she surrounding the importance of mentorship and celebrating women changing the game! surrounding women’s leadership, mentorship and celebrating our own changing the game! In attendance were Gabrielle Union, Tomi Rose Strickland, Savannah James, to name a few.
