Maple & Ash, the Chicago Gold Coast steakhouse, hosted a luncheon on March 14, to celebrate International Women’s Day and benefit Time’s Up Now. The event titled “Women Empowering Women” had more than 120 inspiring diverse women in attendance.
The event was timely not only coinciding with IWD but also Time’s Up, the organization dedicated to addressing the systemic inequality and injustice in the workplace that has kept underrepresented groups from reaching their full potential and providing legal and financial support for those who have been victimized, which was founded at the beginning of this year.
Beth Satterfield, Managing Director and Head of Market Development for William Blair, welcomed guests with her inspiring story and began the conversation among the women in the room. Guests enjoyed a three-course lunch from Maple & Ash Executive Chef/Partner Danny Grant. What’s a luncheon without a martini? Some guests indulged in laxations such as the floral vodka martinis and sparkling rose on hand.
To conclude the event, three attendees were chosen at random to receive a complimentary membership to Mavens & Aficionados, Maple & Ash’s wine club.
