CHICAGO NEWS

 The Griffins are back in the news and Anne is back in court. Anne Dias, reports Crains, is back in court with claims that billionaire Ken Griffin is not paying child support and is using “heavy-handed tactics” and “threats” to get her to leave the Michigan Avenue penthouse she shares with their children. Ms. Dias is accusing Ken Griffin of placing financial pressure on her. [CRAINS SHIA KAPOS]

NATIONAL NEWS

 President Obama’s State of The Union Speech last night had a few highlights: Raising taxes on the rich. He called on lawmakers to pass a new authorization of military force against Islamic State. He vowed to veto any Republican effort to roll back his signature healthcare law and his unilateral loosening of immigration policy. Defended his decision to normalize relations with Communist-ruled Cuba. Many of the proposals he outlined, while popular with many Americans, are unlikely to become reality, given Republican opposition. [REUTERS]
 Dr. Michael Davidson, the 44-year-old cardiac surgeon that was shot twice at Brigham and Women’s Hospital has died from his injuries. The suspected shooter, 55-year-old Stephen Pasceri of Millbury, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a second-floor examining room. Pasceri targeted Dr. Davidson for a particular reason that police are investigating. [CBS BOSTON]

WORLD NEWS

 During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore and musician Pharrell Williams announced they are putting together a music event dubbed Live Earth — Road to Paris to build support for protecting the climate. The goal is to bring together “1 billion voices” from around the globe demanding climate action. The Live Earth locations include China, Sydney, Cape Town, Rio de Janeiro, New York City and Paris. [BLOOMBERG]

SPORTS

 11 of 12 New England Patriots game balls were deflated after all, this according to league sources involved and familiar with the investigation of Sunday’s AFC championship game reports ESPN. These balls were significantly LESS than the NFL requires, underinflated by 2 pounds per square inch of air. Game balls provided to each team for preparation were required to be inspected and approved by referee Walt Anderson two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff before they were returned to a ball attendant before the game; Under league rules and regulations, no alteration of footballs are allowed once they are approved. It is unclear if any, penalties may be imposed upon Patriots but there may be a loss of draft pick. [ESPN]

BUSINESS

 Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies (Space X) can now count Google and Fidelity as investors. The Internet giant, along with Fidelity, has invested $1 billion reports NYTimes, which could help Google achieve its aim of bringing satellite Internet to remote corners of the world. Google and Fidelity will collectively own 10 percent of SpaceX. [NY TIMES]

CELEBRITIES

 Are co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson an item? It is being reported that the pair shared kisses after the Golden Globes. They currently star in a Broadway pal, Constellation. [DAILY MAIL]

FASHION

 Target has launched a new Plus size line with some thanks to the efforts of Plus Size bigger Chastity Garner Valentine and her followers. Ava & Viv is Target’s first new private-label apparel line in seven years and will begin rolling out in mid-February. As Target’s design team developed the new line, they decided to hook up with three bloggers — Gabi Gregg, Nicolette Mason and Valentine — who hold a lot of sway in the plus-size fashion community and who have been pushing retailers and brands to offer more stylish options that don’t try to mask their shape. [STAR TRIBUNE]
 Following his successful capsule collections for VERSUS, Anthony Vaccarello has been named the Versace owned labels’ Creative Director. Vaccarello’s first collection in his new role will debut for autumn/winter 2015. [VOGUE UK]
